Pure magic! From the moment we arrived at the most breathtaking villa nestled in the rolling Tuscan hills, Meagan made sure every detail felt like it had been curated straight out of an Italian dream.

With quiet mornings with a book in hand, and endlessly flowing local wine I reached absolute bliss right away. This was a soul reset kind of trip! Ryan the private chef also made it so easy to relax, turn off my brain, and know we were going to be feasting on all the best Tuscany has to offer everyday. His food alone is worth the trip.

The incredible ladies joining me, made this trip that much more amazing, I’m so lucky to have had the chance to meet and connect over a shared love of reading with these gals! THE lady who lits, Meagan, made every moment felt like a page from a novel I never wanted to end.

I attended the Asilah, Morocco retreat with a friend in late April 2025 following a six day sprint from Marrakech to Fes and it was the perfect way to end our time in Morocco. Megan made sure we felt welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left, arranged all the transfers and activities, and still somehow facilitated a quiet, relaxing space for all of us to enjoy our books and one another’s company. Asilah was an absolute dream, and I hope to attend more retreats in the future.

NB: The food is totally worth writing home about. I can’t speak to the food on the other retreats, but I already miss the traditional Moroccan breakfasts and Sabine’s home-cooked dinners!

This Sevilla trip/experience was way beyond what I had expected it to be from the start all the way to the end. Megan and her team thought of every detail from the location, ambience, activities, to the food (which was next level amazing)! Megan did an amazing job providing a space for woman to gather, relax, rejuvenate and share their love for reading! Cannot wait for my next retreat (for which I have already booked 😉)!

Ladies Who Lit was by far the best vacation of my life. This retreat went above and beyond my expectations. Megan is so kind, funny and honestly downright inspirational. She’s a woman of many talents and I often found myself in awe of her capabilities. LWL not only brought me new friends, but delicious food and drinks in the most beautiful location. I don’t remember the last time I’ve been able to not think of anything other than relaxing, connecting and powering through my TBR. I told Megan when we were leaving that this retreat spoke to my soul and I meant it. I cannot recommend this experience enough and I absolutely will be doing another retreat in 2025.

Recently returned from the 2025 France retreat and had the most amazing time. Megan was a wonderful host who went out of her way to make our stay comfortable, memorable, and enjoyable. The venue was stunning, rooms incredibly comfortable, and the itinerary was perfectly balanced between relaxation for reading and other activities like a wine tasting, murder mystery, and outing to a local town. In addition, Charis (who catered our stay) was warm and personable and made the most incredible food. I’m very excited for the next retreat and would definitely recommend Ladies Who Lit for any solo female travellers interested in reading and making genuine connections with likeminded women whilst feeling safe and having fun!

Just went to the Barcelona Retreat and had such a lovely time. The vibes, the views, the work people were *chefs kiss*Meghan was such a great host. Chloe and Lucy were vital for the stunning aesthetic camera work and mosquito fighting remedies.

It was truly nice to just turn my brain off and be surrounded with fellow book lovers. Everything was not mandatory and is the perfect low pressure retreat for my introverts or girlies who need their social batteries recharged.

I will say for my people pleasers you are going to be struggling a bit because these women will NOT let you lift a finger to do dishes or help carry plates no matter how many times you ask.

I think about that pool more than I would like to ever since I came back. Highly recommend and I hope to do another retreat with you in the future!

The Ladies Who Lit reading retreat in Tuscany was absolute sublime. Megan is absolutely fantastic. The care and attention to detail was fantastic. We had gorgeous food and a great mix of down time with a relaxed itinerary, but nothing was mandatory. This concept is honestly perfect and I would 100% attend another reading retreat in the future. I had the most ✨magical✨ time on the Ladies Who Lit reading retreat in Wales. The accommodations were stunning, nestled in the foothills of Snowdonia National Park.

I read fireside, in my beautiful bathtub, and even outdoors in the hot tub. Megan was the ultimate host. She prepared the most delicious meals using local ingredients as well as many ingredients from her very own garden! I’m still full lol! My hands were never empty from morning coffee straight from Italy, afternoon tea, wine, and perfectly themed holiday cocktails. Our days were spent reading, hiking, and exploring the little village of Dolgellau which was walking distance from the manor.

Our evenings were filled with discussions, a book exchange, movie night, murder mystery dinner, and even a table length charcuterie board! I came home feeling so happy, relaxed, and fulfilled. I would join Megan and LWL again, again, and again! Congrats, Megan, on building such a beautiful community 🫶🏻👏🏻

What a wonderful retreat! Enjoyed all the reading time and down time. Spain countryside was so very charming! I also really enjoyed all the girl time and making new friends. I highly recommend the literary retreat!

Absolutely gorgeous retreat. Megan was so thoughtful, the itinerary was really well planned (enough time to relax and read but with fun things to do to keep things lively). Food and drink were stunning, all dietary niggles beautifully catered for and delicious local dishes.

A real balm for the brain - turn up, switch off and read next to like minded women.
