Indulge in literary bliss at our exclusive reading retreat, where leisure meets literature, and like-minded women come together for a celebration of words.

Join us solo, or better yet, come with your best friend, sister or another incredible woman in your life for a weekend retreat that blends relaxation, literature, and laughter.

Location

Peak District, England

Nestled deep in the valleys of the Peak District, ARC Peaks is a thoughtfully restored space, where nature hums, the river runs, and the wild is never far. Think wood-fired hot tubs, an indoor pool, alfresco kitchens, pizza ovens, and even a South African-style Braai — all wrapped in sweeping views and soft silence.

At the heart of the property is The Old Post Office — a 200-year-old building reimagined with care. Originally a printworks, it’s been lovingly restored using traditional techniques.

Outside, the River Dane winds its way around the grounds, bringing a hush that settles into your skin. A long stone table, carved from reclaimed on-site stone, stretches toward a flowering orchard — the perfect place for shared stories and late-night chats.

Whether you're here to retreat, reconnect, or just read in peace, ARC Peaks is where you come home to yourself.

Can I send my driving license instead of a passport?

I had such a lovely time on my retreat to Sicily. Megan is an amazing host who really looked after all of the group and made the trip feel like a fab holiday with friends. I went alone and everyone was lovely - I will happily book again next year. Book! You won't regret it.
