Location
Greek Islands
Designed exclusively for the Ladies Who Lit community, this luxury sailing experience explores the captivating islands of Greece by catamaran.
This route reveals a new facet of the Greek islands with every stop — from whitewashed villages clinging to rocky hillsides to hidden beaches only accessible by boat. Life slows to a sun-drenched rhythm: mornings begin with a swim off the back of the yacht, afternoons melt into pages of your book under the shade of the sail, and evenings are for fresh seafood or golden-hour dips in secluded coves.
Whether you’re seeking connection, reflection, or just a moment to breathe, this is a retreat for women who travel solo, read deeply, and crave something a little different.
No sailing experience required — just a love of books, sea air, and slow living.
Itinerary
Day One - Athens to Poros via Moni Island
Board at Alimos marina, just south of Athens, to a wonderful welcome on deck while bags come aboard and the skippers run through the boat. Off the dock by 1pm heading for Aegina. We anchor there for a long lunch and a swim, the water clear enough to see the bottom beneath you. Late afternoon we sail on to Poros and drop anchor in a bay for the night, with your first dinner onboard as you ease into yacht life.
Day Two - Poros
A slow morning out on the water before we bring the boats onto the Poros town quay around midday, with breakfast onboard & a packed lunch prepared by your chef. The afternoon is yours with time to relax on the water or explore the island. Guests can choose between a day lazing at a nearby beach club or exploring the island by ATV, stopping at the many pine covered coves.
We come back together in the early evening for a Greek cooking class, preparing local dishes in the traditional Greek way. Afterwards, enjoying the fruits of your labour with a shared meal at the farm.
Day Three - Poros to Dokos
A full day on the water, sailing down to Dokos, an uninhabited island sitting between Poros and Hydra with nothing on it but a couple of quiet bays and the site of one of the oldest shipwrecks ever found. We raft up for the night, swim off the back of the boats and have dinner aboard under the stars.
Day Four - Dokos to Hydra
A short hop across to Hydra, then a full day to take it in. There are no cars or scooters on Hydra, just stone mansions stacked up the hillside, donkeys along the harbour front, and some of the best swimming in the Saronic off the rocks at Spilia and Hydronetta. We will anchor in a nearby bay for a Greek feast onboard.
Day Five - Hydra to Agistri
A full day on the water and the longest sail of the week, sailing north from Hydra up to Agistri, the small pine-covered island tucked in behind Aegina. We break the sail with a swim stop and lunch on the yacht, then drop anchor off Agistri for the night, in a turquoise bay on the south of the island with a little islet you can swim across to. Wine tasting hosted by our chefs, followed by dinner aboard.
Day Six - Agistri to Athens
A final day on the water to bring us home. A morning swim off Agistri, at Dragonera where the pine forest runs right down to the sea, then the boats turn north for the run up the coast to Athens with a last swim along the way. Early evening we drift ashore to the marina back in Athens, with dinner on land provided before a final night onboard listening to the sounds of the sea.
Day Seven - Athens
Early morning on dock with a coffee to watch the hustle and bustle of the marina, as the chefs prep and serve your last breakfast before an early checkout.

Rooms
Each cabin features a comfortable double bed and a dedicated bathroom, giving you your own cosy space to sleep after a day at sea. While the cabins are compact (as is typical on luxury catamarans), they're thoughtfully designed to make the most of the space, and you'll likely find yourself spending very little time in them.
Life onboard is all about embracing the outdoors – reading on the deck with a coffee, sunbathing between swim stops, enjoying long lunches in the open air, and watching the sunset with a glass of wine in hand. The yacht is fully equipped with air conditioning and a generator, ensuring a comfortable stay throughout your trip.
Shared rooms are based on two guests sharing one double bed.
Shared Occupancy

Details
Accommodation, food and drink (inc alcohol), airport transfers, full itinerary, skipper & chef.
Flights, travel insurance, food & drink outside of the accommodation (other than those stated).
A complimentary group transfer from Athens Airport (PMI) is included and will depart at 10am on the day your retreat begins. To make use of this transfer, please ensure your flight arrives with enough time to reach the designated meeting point before departure. We'll share full transfer details, including the exact meeting location, closer to your departure date. This gives everyone the chance to meet before boarding the yachts as a group. If you are unable to make the scheduled group transfer, you are welcome to arrange your own transport to the marina. Yacht check-in is at 10am, with check-out at 9am on your departure day. Please note that these times are subject to the yachts being safely cleared to enter or leave the marina and may vary slightly depending on weather, sea conditions, harbour traffic, or other operational requirements. Your skipper will always prioritise the safety of guests and crew.
A £700 non-refundable deposit is required per cabin to secure your spot. The remaining balance is to be paid in two instalments (each 50% of the remaining balance), which will be collected via email, with the full balance due no later than 60 days before departure.
The Greek Islands are a sun-soaked paradise scattered across the Aegean, known for their whitewashed towns, cobalt-blue domes, and crystalline waters. From the lively charm of Poros to the postcard perfection of Hydra, this is a Mediterranean dream where ancient history meets laid-back island life, and every sunset feels like it was made just for you.
We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable during our retreats, so here’s a little more detail about the accessibility of this boat: Catamarans can present some challenges when it comes to accessibility. There are steps required to access most areas on board, including the bedrooms and communal spaces. Additionally, when the boat is anchored (rather than docked), guests will be ferried to and from land using a tender—a small boat (think luxury dinghy)—which may be tricky to board for those with mobility issues. Because of these factors, we suggest handling accessibility requests on a case-by-case basis to ensure we can accommodate your individual needs wherever possible. If you have any accessibility concerns or would like to chat about your specific needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re here to help make your retreat experience as enjoyable and comfortable as possible.
Once your place is secured, you’ll receive a welcome pack with everything you need to know — including your final payment links, full itinerary, and local recommendations. Around 60 days before the trip, you’ll be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group where all further trip communication will take place and you can start connecting with fellow guests.

On the first evening, we host a blind book swap. It’s a fun ice breaker that sparks conversation – and you get a new book! If you’re not comfortable in group discussions, we’ll do everything we can to ensure you feel at ease. You can also share any preferences or notes in advance on your preference sheet.
For the Book Swap, we ask that guests bring a book they’ve loved and think someone else might enjoy too. It doesn’t need to be new – it can be your well-loved copy, whatever works best. We also ask that you gift wrap the book, as it really adds to the fun of the experience.
The food reflects the local cuisine of the country. We aim to offer a mix of familiar favourites alongside exciting new dishes you may not have tried before.
We’re no longer able to offer part payments directly. That said, you’re very welcome to settle the balance at a time that suits you anytime up to 60 days before the retreat. Alternatively, Klarna is available in most regions via the payment link if you’d prefer to spread the cost.

In the run-up to your Reading Retreat, you’ll receive a Welcome Pack with a payment link for the remaining balance. Guests have up to 60 days before the retreat starts to pay in full and can choose to settle it all at once or in installments via Klarna. Please note, if the balance is not paid in full at least 60 days in advance, the booking will be forfeited.

With our new booking system, the balance needs to be managed together by the guests. You can choose to pay it in full whenever it’s convenient, or spread the cost over time using Klarna.
Unfortunately, we’re unable to transfer your booking to another Reading Retreat. However, we can provide a refund for your trip, minus the non-refundable deposit, if requested up to 60 days before the retreat starts. Pure magic! From the moment we arrived at the most breathtaking villa nestled in the rolling Tuscan hills, Meagan made sure every detail felt like it had been curated straight out of an Italian dream.
I attended the February Caribbean reading retreat and wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars! This was the best vacation I could have imagined. Not only was the resort amazing, the conversation and the ladies could not have been better.
I had such a lovely time on my retreat to Sicily. Megan is an amazing host who really looked after all of the group and made the trip feel like a fab holiday with friends. I went alone and everyone was lovely - I will happily book again next year. Book! You won't regret it.
