Location
Bali, Indonesia
Set in the lush heart of Tabanan, a quieter and more untouched corner of Bali, Nirjhara offers a peaceful escape surrounded by rice fields, jungle, river sounds, and hidden cascades. Just moments from the iconic Tanah Lot temple and close to the charming village of Kedungu, it feels deeply connected to the natural beauty and slower rhythm of the island.
Designed as a serene hideaway immersed in verdant surroundings, Nirjhara blends contemporary luxury with Indonesian craftsmanship, creating a space that feels both elevated and grounding. Think tropical gardens, sweeping views over rice paddies and forest, and a sense of calm that settles in the moment you arrive.
Days here could be spent reading beside the pool, unwinding at the spa, joining yoga or meditation at the Shala, or simply soaking in the stillness of the landscape around you. Evenings lend themselves to slow dinners overlooking the greenery, sunset drinks by the pool bar, and the kind of quiet that makes you finally exhale.

Due to the natural jungle setting and spread-out layout of the property, this retreat may not be suitable for all mobility levels. Paths can be uneven, with steps and gentle slopes between villas and communal areas. While some rooms and buggy transport are available to support guests with limited mobility, the resort is not fully step-free throughout. If you have any specific accessibility needs (mobility, sight, hearing, etc.), we’re more than happy to liaise with the property in advance to help make your stay as comfortable as possible.
Once your place is secured, you’ll receive a welcome pack with everything you need to know — including your final payment link, full itinerary, and local recommendations. On the first evening, we host a blind book swap. It’s a fun ice breaker that sparks conversation – and you get a new book! If you’re not comfortable in group discussions, we’ll do everything we can to ensure you feel at ease. You can also share any preferences or notes in advance on your preference sheet.
For the Book Swap, we ask that guests bring a book they’ve loved and think someone else might enjoy too. It doesn’t need to be new – it can be your well-loved copy, whatever works best. We also ask that you gift wrap the book, as it really adds to the fun of the experience.

What our guests are saying about their stay
Pure magic! From the moment we arrived at the most breathtaking villa nestled in the rolling Tuscan hills, Meagan made sure every detail felt like it had been curated straight out of an Italian dream.
I attended the February Caribbean reading retreat and wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars! This was the best vacation I could have imagined. Not only was the resort amazing, the conversation and the ladies could not have been better.
I had such a lovely time on my retreat to Sicily. Megan is an amazing host who really looked after all of the group and made the trip feel like a fab holiday with friends. I went alone and everyone was lovely - I will happily book again next year. Book! You won't regret it.
