7 Books Where the Villain F*cks Better Than the Hero
Bad boys? Please...red flags never felt so good. Proceed with caution (and wine).

Because sometimes the red flags are just lipstick stains on your soul.
There’s something about the wrong one. The villain who growls instead of whispers. Who doesn’t ask permission (but somehow still reads your mind). The one who’d burn down a village, then kiss your inner thigh like it’s a prayer.
Here are seven books where the villain does everything better—especially in the bedroom. Proceed with caution (and maybe a glass of wine).

1. Haunting Adeline by H.D. Carlton
Villain Vibes: Obsessive stalker with a sniper rifle and an oral fixation.
Zade Meadows watches. Waits. Writes her letters. And then breaks into her house. He’s a morally questionable hacker who kills bad men and pleasures good girls. If the hero had shown up, he would've been too nice. And frankly, too boring.

2. The Mindf*ck Series by S.T. Abby
Villain Vibes: Serial killer with a tragic backstory and a precision tongue.
She’s the one doing the murdering—but you’ll be rooting for her harder than the FBI agent she’s banging. And while he's sweet and protective, she's the one who’ll ruin you—in the best possible way.

3. King of Wrath by Ana Huang
Villain Vibes: Ice-cold billionaire with a slow-burn temper and a wicked mouth.
Dante Russo isn’t technically a villain… but he sure behaves like one. Broody, commanding, and emotionally unavailable? Sign us the hell up. The hero energy is nowhere to be found—only ruthless dominance and expensive suits.

4. Ruthless Creatures by J.T. Geissinger
Villain Vibes: Mafia enforcer with a voice like gravel and hands like sin.
Kage is a walking weapon with zero remorse and zero chill. But when he falls for Natalie, his protection turns possessive—and the bedroom scenes are so feral, you'll forget the word "hero" ever existed.

5. Sinner’s Duet by Sophie Lark (There Are No Saints + There Is No Devil)
Villain Vibes: Artist. Kidnapper. Sadist. Somehow still insanely hot.
Cole Blackwell is not okay—and we love that for us. He’s dark, deeply disturbed, and doesn’t bother pretending otherwise. The things he does with rope and oil paint are... evocative. The hero is too busy crying in the corner.

6. Vicious by L.J. Shen
Villain Vibes: Rich, rude, and dripping with daddy issues.
Vicious is cruel, possessive, and emotionally unavailable—but damn if he doesn’t know exactly what he’s doing in bed. Shen’s heroes rarely stand a chance next to her a**hole anti-heroes. He’s toxic. And we’re hooked.

7. The Sweetest Oblivion by Danielle Lori
Villain Vibes: Mafia prince with a possessive streak and a God complex.
Nico is brooding, brutal, and in control. Every move he makes is calculated, every kiss a warning. And while he might technically be the love interest, his villain energy devours every soft boy in his wake.
Final Thoughts:
You can keep your cinnamon rolls. We’ll be here with our morally gray men, our questionable choices, and our tattered paperbacks that smell like sin.
Because sometimes, the villain doesn’t just f*ck better—he is the fantasy.

What our guests are saying about their stay
Pure magic! From the moment we arrived at the most breathtaking villa nestled in the rolling Tuscan hills, Meagan made sure every detail felt like it had been curated straight out of an Italian dream.
I attended the February Caribbean reading retreat and wish I could rate it higher than 5 stars! This was the best vacation I could have imagined. Not only was the resort amazing, the conversation and the ladies could not have been better.
I had such a lovely time on my retreat to Sicily. Megan is an amazing host who really looked after all of the group and made the trip feel like a fab holiday with friends. I went alone and everyone was lovely - I will happily book again next year. Book! You won't regret it.
